Feel the excitement build as handcrafted cars race to the finish line at Rimrock Mall. Join us on May 16, 2026, for the 2026 Black Otter District Pinewood Derby, where top Cub Scouts from across the Billings area and surrounding counties go head-to-head in this fast-paced, high-energy competition.

Check-in begins at 10:00 AM, with races kicking off at 12:00 PM in Center Court. Each car represents hours of teamwork, creativity, and precision, built by Scouts and their families using official materials and strict design guidelines. From sleek speedsters to standout designs, every entry showcases craftsmanship, problem-solving, and a passion for racing.

This annual event brings together the best of the best, with competitors advancing from local pack races for a chance at ultimate bragging rights in both speed and design categories. It’s a celebration of STEM learning, sportsmanship, and community spirit—all rolled into one thrilling race day.
